Sun Outdoors Chesapeake Bay Celebrated the Property’s New Name and Management with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Ocean City, Md. (July 20, 2022). Ocean City, Md.-based outdoor hospitality specialist, Blue Water partnered with the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce to host a ribbon cutting ceremony at Sun Outdoors Chesapeake Bay on Wednesday, July 13, which honored the renaming of the family-friendly resort destination in Temperanceville. Formerly Tall Pines Harbor Campground, Sun Outdoors Chesapeake Bay is immensely popular for its waterfront recreation with private beach access on the Pocomoke Sound.

Guests who attended the event enjoyed a meet and greet with officials from the property and Blue Water, in addition to members of the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to tour the property and had the opportunity to partake in various activities on the beach and in the splash park, both signature features of the resort. Among those in attendance were Blue Water CEO Todd Burbage, Sun Outdoors Chesapeake Bay General Manager Rusty Stone, Evelyn Shotwell, Executive Director, and Joanne Moore, Marketing & Event Coordinator from the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce.

Safari tents are outfitted with two bedrooms, mini-refrigerator, microwave, water hookup outside, living room and deck. Deluxe cottages, which sleep up to six people, offer air conditioning/heat, stocked kitchens, a private bathroom with showers, two bedrooms, living/dining area, and a screened porch. Site amenities for both the safari tents and deluxe cottages include a fire ring and WiFi. They are both pet-friendly as well.
